The Mission of Freemasonry

Freemasons are focused on building themselves as people of integrity, and membership provides the structure to help achieve that goal. Being a Freemason gives members a sense of purpose, supporting and guiding them on their journey through life. We understand that each person has their own path and their own obstacles.

We enjoy each other’s company, we take a good man and help him improve himself, we actively engage in charitable acts and supporting worthy causes and we try to develop ourselves spiritually, irrespective of religion, race or creed.

Freemasonry has always stood for fairness, tolerance, self-improvement, giving to others and supporting the less fortunate in society. Freemasons act in a way that is honest, ethical, law-abiding and sets a good example. We encourage each other to act according to his understanding of Masonic teachings and to share these basic truths and put them into action through a life that informs, influences and inspires others.

Today this is even more important in our modern, fast-moving and often isolating society.

“To each, there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing.”
